Concerts: Ludovico Einaudi at Hallenstadion, Zurich

2018 is a great concert year when you live in Switzerland. I’ve seen some nice bands already like Kensington, Kodaline, Amber Run, Mighty Oaks and Editors but the best one for me this year was the concert of Ludovico Einaudi at Hallenstadion in Zurich on the 6th of May. My buddy Werni and I have seen him at the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux back in November 2016 already. This time the concert venue was bigger. The Hallenstadion in Zurich is the biggest multi-functional hall in Switzerland with a full capacity of 13000 People for concerts. Legends like ABBA, Rolling Stones, U2 and Coldplay have played amazing shows there. It was the second time I went to the Hallenstadion for a concert (first one was Keane). So we were really happy to see the Italian Maestro live again because the concert in Montreux was a true highlight and the event was sold out. Five musicians (violonist, cellist, guitarist, bassist and percussionist) joined him on stage. The Piano Solo was one of the highlights of the concert.

Here you can see the setlist

  1. Petricor
  2. Elements
  3. Fly
  4. Newton’s Cradle
  5. Four Dimensions
  6. The Tower
  7. Piano Solo
  8. Elegy for the Arctic
  9. Numbers
  10. Eros
  11. Experience

  12. Divenire
  13. Fuori dal Mondo
  14. Choros

I hope to see him live again one day. I think every concert of Ludovico Einaudi produces a special atmosphere between the musicians and the crowd. I remember when I closed my eyes several times and had the feeling that his music is really touching my soul. No more words needed because it was epic!

Thank you very much to my friend Werni for organizing the journey… Can’t wait for our next concert adventure because it’s gonna be a big one!
