Concerts: Kodaline at Zermatt Unplugged

Kodaline is a band I always wanted to see live. Some months ago when the Zermatt Unplugged released its line up I knew that I have to see them live. We were a bit lucky that we got tickets as there was a strong demand. On April 10th, 2018 my mom, sister and I drove to Täsch where we switched to the Shuttle train to Zermatt. At the Unique Hotel Post we enjoyed a delicious dinner together with my aunts Carmen and Claudia. The heart of the Zermatt Unplugged is the taste village and next to it the big tent which include the biggest stage of the festival. On this stage the concert of Kodaline was planed to start at 8.30pm. After some minutes of waiting the founder of the festival, Mr. Thomas Sterchi had a little intro speech and thanked the sponsors who made this Festival even possible. And then it was showtime… Kodaline started with my favourite song of them called „Love liked this“. I’ve got a feeling that something was not so well with the voice of the lead vocalist of the band. Later I heard that he had a cold but all in all he did a very good job. It’s a bit sad, that most of the bands don’t play the whole set unplugged. I know it’s a huge challenge for the musicians but I think they should give it a try. But the concert was a mix of both, unplugged and electric, and I’m happy with that. For me it was a beautiful concert in a great atmosphere…

Thank you very much to our traditional Zermatt Unplugged group (Evi, Stephanie, Carmen and Claudia) for these good times at one of the world’s most beautiful places!
