Concerts: Franz Ferdinand at the Tohu-Bohu Open Air Music Festival

2006 – Openair Gampel – Saturday Night – It’s raining cats and Dogs but I just saw one of the coolest concerts at the Openair Gampel ever. The show was powerful and the atmosphere special with this weather. The band: the legendary british indie-rock band Franz Ferdinand from Glasgow.

Yesterday during lunch time I got a message from my buddy Werner and asked me if I want to join him and his sister Silvia to see Franz Ferdinand live at the Tohu Bohu Openair Music Festival in Veyras (a little village near Sierre and Crans-Montana). I didn’t have to think twice and said yes. So I purchased and printed my ticket at home.

Around 8:45pm they picked me up and 20min later we arrived in Veyras at our VIP-car park. After a short walk we arrived at the Festival area and enjoyed a drink and saw a band I already forgot the name.

At the 22:00pm it was time for the concert of Franz Ferdinand. When they entered the stage the first thing I noticed was the crazy blonde hair of their bandleader Alex Kapranos. It was so cool to hear some famous old Songs which I almost forgot but after the first tones I rememberd them. Franz Ferdinand played a really cool set and the sound was mixed perfectly. I was one of the best concerts I saw this year…

After the concert we headed back home with another great concert-experience in the bag.

Thanks a lot to Werner and Silvia for this really amazing evening.
