Sundays are fundays and it was a true one today. As you may know I really like to visit art-exhibitions here in Switzerland. I already visited the famous art museums of Switzerland like the Kunstmuseum Basel and Bern, Kunsthaus in Zurich, Oskar Reinhardt Museum Winterthur, Sammlung Rosengart Lucerne and my favourite, the Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny, Valais. Today I got another chance to see a world-class art-Exhibition.
After a delicious lunch at home I traveled to Visp where I met my art-friend Walter. We took the Train to Martigny. There we walked through the town directly to the Fondation Pierre Gianadda where the Exhibition „Paul Cézanne – Le Chant de la Terre“ take place. It was my first Cézanne exposition and I was pretty much impressed. When I saw the captions of the paintings I was a bit surprised. The paintings of Cézanne came from all the World to Martigny. Pieces of the National Gallery London, Picasso Museum Paris, Puschkin Museum Moscow, MoMa New York. Due to that fact I think it’s one of the most special Cézanne exposition ever made.
After this amazing experience, Walter and I enjoyed a cold drink at a Restaurant in the city-centre of Martigny. It was a great opportunity to talk with him about our art passion and just about life. Then it was time to travel back home with a lot of inspirations and impressions.
Thanks a lot to Walter for his idea to see this exposition. It was an amazing „sunday -funday“.
