Art: PICASSO Exhibition at the Fondation Pierre Gianadda

It was finally time to go back.

PICASSO – L’oeuvre ultime – Hommage à Jacqueline exhibition at the Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny (Valais / Switzerland) was the reason to travel again to this beautiful city. After a short train ride from Visp to Martigny my best friend David and I walked through the whole town and saw some cool shop windows and very beautiful houses. Around 20min. later we arrived at the Fondation. First we saw the old archaeological art treasures from the romans who lived in Martigny back in days. Then it was time to see some really amazing original Picasso masterpieces. Picasso is one of the most known and greatest artist of all time. He made in his career around 50000 works of art. There is a great museum dedicated to him in Paris and some of his works were auctioned for more than 100 mio. dollars. All in all it was one of the greatest exhibitions I’ve seen at the Fondation Pierre Gianadda.

Later we went to the „Vieux Arsenal“ to see the „80 years anniversay Léonard Gianadda“ exhibition. Mr. Gianadda is the Founder and President of the Fondation Pierre Gianadda and one of the world’s most important art patrons. At the end of our visit it was a huge honor to meet him and congratulate him to an outstanding PICASSO exhibition. I told him that I am „un Ami de la Fondation Pierre Gianadda“ (financial supporter of the Fondation) and he got me an amazing present (Picasso exhibition book).

It was a one of my best „art-days“ I will never forget. Thanks to my best friend David for this amazing day and Mr. Gianadda for the great present and talk. It was a big honor and joy.
